WVCS 2024 rolls smoothly into second day

The West Virginia Coal Show 2024 entered its second and final day today in Charleston, W.Va., with returning large crowds on the show floor taking in special features and great industry conversation.

Doors opened once again at 10 a.m. at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center, with many new faces picking up pre-registration badges and signing up on-site. The West Virginia Coal Festival returned once more as well to walk the show with their stunning Coal Queen representatives.

The coal show’s door prizes were given out, including a $1,500 value golf outing and a $1,000 Cabela’s gift card, to a number of deserving regional coal miners. Several exhibitors also handed out special giveaways as well.

SEMCO Publishing and North American Mining magazine, organizers of WVCS24, reported a high level of interest from exhibitors in returning for a 2025 show. Those dates and initial plans will be revealed in the coming weeks.
